Meet Debbie, the passionate Child Protection and Advocacy Coordinator for Champion Kidz in Liberia. Based in Monrovia, Debbie is a driving force behind our mission to create a safer and more nurturing environment for vulnerable children throughout the country. 

As she oversees the design and implementation of evidence-based, trauma-informed care practices across all of Champion Kidz’s programs in Liberia, she remains acutely aware that many children in her community have faced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. That’s why she ensures that every intervention is approached with sensitivity, empathy, and a solid understanding of childhood trauma. 

One of Debbie’s main roles is to spearhead community education initiatives focused on child safety and protection. She frequently organizes workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns for parents, teachers, local leaders, and law enforcement officials, empowering them with essential knowledge about child rights, recognizing signs of abuse, and effective prevention strategies. Through her dedication, Debbie is fostering a protective culture where communities are not only informed but also actively involved in safeguarding the dignity and safety of every child. 

Debbie makes sure that children’s voices are at the heart of every decision that impacts their lives. She goes above and beyond to listen, document, and take action, turning vulnerability into empowerment. She’s a key player in creating robust, community-focused child protection systems throughout Liberia.

Meet Pauline, the heart and soul of Champion Kidz’s efforts in Liberia. She plays a crucial role in connecting our global community of sponsors with the children whose lives are being positively impacted by our programs. As the Acting Coordinator of the Community Engagement and Sponsorship Program, Pauline is dedicated to upholding the integrity, transparency, and success of our mission right where it matters most. 

With a genuine passion for her community, Pauline carefully manages the day-to-day operations of the sponsorship program. She ensures that resources are allocated effectively, so every sponsored child receives the educational, nutritional, and welfare support they need. Her responsibilities are diverse, ranging from high-level logistical planning to providing personal mentorship to the students she works with.

In Liberia, Pauline stands out as a highly respected leader, bringing invaluable local insights that help Champion Kidz tackle complex challenges and build lasting trust with families and community leaders. She firmly believes that real, sustainable change begins with strong local partnerships. By leading initiatives that emphasize local capacity building and cultural relevance, she ensures our programs are not only effective today but will continue to thrive for years to come.
